Union Learning Representative Baseline Research Report. Summary 2004/05

Summary document of key findings from phase one of a research project commissioned by TUC Learning Services Northwest Region with the support of the North West Development Agency.  The data collection, survey and report of the findings have been completed on behalf of the above by Alison Hollinrake, HRM Division, Lancashire Business School, University of Central Lancashire.

The findings are being used by TUC Learning Services Northwest Region ( and the TUC) to identify what is required to support effective and sustainable ULR activity within the region.  In addition it will assist funding agencies and strategic bodies such as Learning and Skills Councils (LSCs) to understand the value of union contribution and how best it can be integrated into their strategic plans.
