"Reducing Poverty, Increasing Support" is the TUC response to the Freud Report on the Government’s welfare-to-work programmes. This response argues that Government policy should aim at helping benefit claimants to get jobs, rather than threatening them with penalties. It also argues that services currently provided by Jobcentre Plus should not be contracted-out or privatised."
