I am grateful for so many of the pieces you have written, but this time you have chosen such an important subject I want to thank you.
We should pay close and ongoing attention to this issue, and even try to develop basic defences. It can hardly be long before our exposure online is exploited by the exceptionally adventurous; we are waiting for a statistical event.
I have no intellect in this area, but there are ISP's who mask addresses, there are anonymisers, computer identities can be created, there are more and less secure operating systems. Certainly computees in Eastern Europe were careful with their on screen legibility.
Is there a place for a Union 'live cd'?
