Re:Are you the arty type? - 18/06/2007 15:29 Hi Paul
Do you know if the TUC intends to be putting on this event in London. I would be v interested in attending and contributing to an event like this and whatever came out of it. As a student on a study abroad scheme, I was involved with a labour oral history project aimed at hospital workers in New York city. The aims of it were to connect those members who would have little access to the arts via art exhibitions, usually of members works. They also held social evenings and discussions whereby members could attend usually bringing potential members and family/friends. Anyway, let me know if you think there are plans to hold this event in London.
Thanks Beverley

Re:Are you the arty type? - 21/06/2007 13:36 Hi Beverley

There are no plans at the moment, but we certainly want to use the work we are doing in the NW as a 'test-bed' for the development of a national initiative in this area.

A copy of the consultant's report will be posted on this site in mid-July and I'd welcome comments from you and others about how the TUC and unions could take forward this work

best

Paul
