KEELE CAMPAIGN: URGENT FINANCIAL APPEAL FROM BUIRA - 30/04/2008 14:44 KEELE CAMPAIGN: URGENT FINANCIAL APPEAL FROM BUIRA FOR HALF-PAGE PROTEST IN GUARDIAN (copy attached)

Dear colleagues and friends,
The British Universities Industrial Relations Association (BUIRA) needs your financial help to raise the tempo of the growing and worldwide opposition to the proposed 38 job cuts at Keele University including all academics in the Keele Centre for Industrial Relations.

We are taking out a half-page display in the main Guardian paper under the heading 'Critical Thinking under Attack in Universities' on Tues, 6th May.

We need to raise £7450 very quickly to do this. Therefore we are making an urgent appeal for financial donations to all those appalled at the Keele jobs threat, and especially to the 450+ open letter signatories.

How to make your donation (we can only accept individual donations)
