Former Keele GTA, Current Keele PhD student in IRs HRM; Senior Lecturer in HRM (Uni of Sunderland)
You have my full support as I wouldn’t be where I am today without you!!!! Management should know better than squashing the dreams and ideals of the former, existing and future academics and students!!!!

Corporatisation of Higher Education
It is very important that academics at Keele and eleswhere show a united front to fight these proposals. The methods of Keele management reflect all the worst aspects of the growing neo-liberal coporatisation of private businesses and public organisations which has been the hallmark of the Blair era - would it happen in France or Germany? Yours in Solidarity Jake Jackson.

In Solidarity
You have my support in this key fight. Keele management need to be taken to task over the various infringements of labour rights.

Closure of Industrial Relations Department
This is dreadful news. There has never been a time when the work of the Deparmtment is more important than at present. I support all efforts to reverse this perverse decision.

With you
Universities are too important for nonsense like this to be happening.

Keele redundancies
This must be a nightmare for the people losing their jobs. Its strange how such decisions are often made just prior to Christmas. I express my support and good wishes to the staff who are being typically appallingly treated.

Professor
As an ex-member of staff at Keele, this saddens and angers me. Perhaps people might want to ask why Keels's undergraduate and postgraduate admissions are increasingly poor across the board? Or why the MBA was never submitted for AMBA accreditation? Or why so many good staff in the social sciences have left over the past five years? These are questions that need to be aimed at a VC who has been in post for thirteen years. Blaming a group of the current staff for the problems of the institution will only drag the University further into the mess it is now in.

Yet another example of managers of public service provision trying to employ private sector thinking in a sector that isn't supposed to be about efficiency or profit but about public good. Let me know what I can do Colin.
