Dr
Solidarity to all colleagues at Keele. I am with you in your fight against these cuts. As someone who teaches 'non traditional' learners in trade union and labour studies I have the privilege of seeing students develop and become exited about acquiring an education that was denied to them in the past. It is so important that these courses remain. Keep on fighting and we are with you all the way.

Solidarity to workers and staFF and students, at KEEL and UCU who represent. It is, I think, another examp;e, of failure, of partnership working in its pure sense.

Mr
As a student just finishing my dissertation, I am appalled that the best opportunity that most union activists have, of gaining a MA on this subject could be considered for closure.

Janet Finch has been described as a British Socialist. However the way that management have acted in disregarding workers rights and breaching best practice guidance demonstrates total contempt for staff. If Janet Finch wishes to learn more about the meaning of socialism, and indeed Industrial Relations in general, then I suggest she attend one of the lectures which she is intent on destroying. She may also discover that the old saying of ‘the workers united will never being defeated’ is true.

Support for Keele
I studied my MA in IR at Keele and it has been hugely influential on my work firstly as a TU rep and now as a manager. We must do all we can to retain the same opportunity for others.

This attack upon the subject and the staff speaks volumes about the current management in Keele and why it should be opposed

The objective of the employers was both appalling and short sighted, and the methods used shameful. From a trade union and academic point of view, this attack on jobs and the subject area should be seen as an attack upon all those who work in the area, and those who believe that it has a positive contribution to make. Let us know what support you want from outside Keele and good luck with the fight.
